SouthernReader is an emagazine that was founded in 2001 as an online resource for Southern writing. It includes fiction, short stories, essays and poetry written by writers from all over the world, but all with a Southern accent. All submissions are considered, but the overriding requirement is that any piece submitted must not embarrass the oldest lady of the writer’s church.
